Attitudes of seniors to education in the field of information and communication technologies in the Ústí Region

Abstract:

Tato práce se zaměřuje na postoje seniorů ke vzdělávání v informačních a komunikačních technologií. Cílem bakalářské práce je identifikovat oblasti, které senioři v rámci informačních a komunikačních technologií vnímají jako potřebné a současné vymezit možné limitující momenty, se kterými se při jejich používání setkávají. Tento cíl jsem se snažila splnit integrovaným přístupem, přičemž jsem využila kvantitativní a kvalitativní vyhodnocení výsledků výzkumu. Výsledky jsem použila pro vymezení vzdělávacích potřeb v této oblasti, pro již zmiňovanou cílovou skupinu senioři. Zjištěním této práce je skutečnost, že senioři využívají moderní komunikační technologie zejména kvůli své rodině, přátelům a blízkým, protože s nimi chtějí být v kontaktu. Avšak tyto technologie jsou pro seniory důležité i v mnoha dalších oblastech, jako je zdraví, bezpečnost, finance a záležitostí týkající se úřadů nebo bank. Limitujícím momentem se pro seniory ukázal intenzivní a rychlý pokrok těchto technologií, dále jejich zdravotní stav, jejich finanční situace, technologická omezení nebo neschopnost s těmito zařízeními komunikovat. Nejčastěji se senioři sebevzdělávají, nebo o pomoc požádají rodinu, blízké či přátelé. V rámci vzdělávacích institucí a projektů za nejzásadnější problém považuji neefektivní propagaci. V závěru je provedeno celkové shrnutí všech dosažených zjištění a poznatků.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the attitudes of seniors towards education in information and communication technologies. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to identify the areas that seniors perceive as necessary within the framework of information and communication technologies and to define the possible limiting moments they encounter when using them. I tried to fulfill this goal with an integrated approach, while I used quantitative and qualitative evaluation of research results. I used the results to define educational needs in this area, for the already mentioned target group of seniors. The finding of this work is the fact that seniors use modern communication technologies especially for their family, friends and loved ones because they want to be in contact with them. However, these technologies are also important for seniors in many other areas, such as health, safety, finance, and matters related to authorities or banks. The intense and rapid progress of these technologies, as well as their state of health, their financial situation, technological limitations or the inability to communicate with these devices proved to be a limiting moment for seniors. Most often, seniors educate themselves or ask family, relatives or friends for help. In the framework of educational institutions and projects, I consider ineffective promotion to be the most fundamental problem. In the conclusion, a general summary of all the findings and findings is made.
