Career Counselling at Primary Schools in Usti region

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce bude tematicky orientována na problematiku poskytování kariérového poradenství v rámci činnosti základních škol na Ústecku, a to se zvláštním zřetelem na cílovou skupinu žáků ohrožených předčasným ukončením vzdělávání. Teoretická východiska práce budou postavena na aktuálních poznatcích v oblasti poskytování poradenských služeb ve vzdělávání a specificky pak v oblasti kariérového poradenství (využívané formy, metody a aktivity, aktuální trendy v dané oblasti). Pozornost bude věnována také problematice předčasného ukončování vzdělávání a možnostem prevence v dané oblasti. Empirická část bude věnována kvalitativně orientovanému výzkumnému šetření zacílenému na analýzu postupů kariérového poradenství využívaných na základních školách na Ústecku a možnostem rozvoje tohoto segmentu poradenských služeb z pohledu pedagogických pracovníků. Data budou získávána prostřednictvím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů a výzkumný vzorek bude tvořen pedagogickými pracovníky základních škol, zejména pak pedagogy podílejícími se na realizaci kariérového poradenství. Výstupem práce budou strukturovaná doporučení pro možný rozvoj uvedené oblasti poradenské činnosti na základních školách.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis will be thematically oriented on the issue of providing career counselling within the activities of primary schools in the region of Ústí nad Labem, with special attention to the target group of pupils (students) at risk of early termination of education.The theoretical background of the thesis will be based on current knowledge in the field of providing counselling services in education and specifically in the field of career counselling (we use forms, methods and activities, current trends in the field). Attention will also be paid to the issue of early school leaving and the possibilities of prevention in this area. The empirical part will be devoted to a qualitatively oriented research investigation aimed at analyzing the career counselling procedures used in primary schools in the region of Ústí nad Labem and the possibilities of developing this segment of counselling services from the perspective of teaching staff. Data will be collected through semi-structured interviews and the research sample will consist of primary school teaching staff, especially teachers involved in the implementation of career counselling. The output of the work will be structured recommendations for the possible development of this area of counselling activities in primary schools.
