Transkripce genů kódujících proteiny je úzce regulována flexibilní C-koncovou doménou (CTD) RPB1, největší podjednotkou RNA polymerázy II (RNAPII). RNAPII CTD je vysoce flexibilní doména složená z 52 heptapeptidových repetic s konzervovanou sekvencí YSPTSPS. Hraje klíčovou roli při koordinaci transkripce a s ní spojených procesů. The transcription of protein-coding genes is tightly regulated by the flexible C-terminal domain (CTD) of RPB1, the largest subunit of RNA Polymerase II (RNAPII). The RNAPII CTD is a highly flexible domain composed of 52 heptapeptide repeats with the consensus sequence YSPTSPS and plays an important role in coordinating transcription and co-transcriptional processes.
