Raising children by grandparent - relatives foster care

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá pěstounskou péčí, která je vykonávaná prarodiči dětí, které jsou do pěstounské péče svěřeny. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí - teoretické a výzkumné. Teoretická část se zabývá příbuzenskou pěstounskou péčí, která je vykonávaná prarodiči. Především se zaměřuje na její specifika - příčiny vzniku, reakce dětí, obtíže v péči o svěřená vnoučata a očekávání prarodičů ohledně péče o svěřená vnoučata do budoucna. Cílem mé diplomové práce je zjistit, jak prarodiče vnímají péči o svěřená vnoučata v rámci pěstounské péče. Výzkumná část je založena na kvalitativním výzkumu, v jehož rámci bude cíl diplomové práce zodpovězen výzkumnou otázkou: Jak vnímají prarodiče péči o svěřená vnoučata v rámci pěstounské péče? Výzkumná část je tvořena polostrukturovanými rozhovory s pěstouny prarodiči, které byly doplněny o další techniky sběru dat, a to o analýzu dokumentů, resp. rozsudků a o pozorování komunikačních partnerů.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with foster care, which is performed by grandparents of children entrusted to foster care. The work is divided into two parts - theoretical and research. The theoretical part deals with relative foster care, which is performed by grandparents. Above all, it focuses on its specifics - the causes of its origin, children's behaviour, difficulties in caring for entrusted grandchildren and grandparents' expectations regarding the care of entrusted grandchildren in the future. The goal of my diploma thesis is to find out how grandparents perceive the care of entrusted grandchildren within the framework of foster care. The research part is based on qualitative research, in the framework of which the goal of the diploma thesis will be answered by a research question: How do grandparents perceive the care of entrusted grandchildren within the framework of foster care? The research part consists of semi- structured interviews with foster grandparents, which were supplemented with other data collection techniques, namely document analysis, or judgments and observation of communication partners.
