Awareness of Kindergarten Teachers about the Education of Children with Special Educational Needs

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na vzdělávání dětí se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami pohledem učitelek mateřské školy. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaké odborné znalosti mají učitelky mateřské školy o vzdělávání dětí se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami. V teoretické části se věnujeme vymezení pojmu dítě se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami. V souvislosti se vzděláváním dětí se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami definujeme školská poradenská zařízení, podpůrná opatření, včetně asistenta pedagoga. Klíčovou roli hraje také samotný učitel, proto se věnujeme osobnosti učitele a jeho pedagogickým kompetencím. Praktická část bakalářské práce se zabývá kvantitativním výzkumem pomocí dotazníkového šetření. Zjišťovali jsme, jaké odborné znalosti a názory mají učitelky na vzdělávání dětí se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami, na jaká školská poradenská zařízení se mohou obrátit a jak hodnotí vzájemnou spolupráci. Zabývali jsme se povědomím učitelek o formách vzdělávaní dětí se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami a postupem při vzdělávání těchto dětí. Výsledky byly poté zpracovány, v rámci diskuse srovnány s dalšími výzkumy a bylo navrhnuto doporučení pro praxi.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis focuses on the education of children with special educational needs from the perspective of preschool teachers. The aim of the thesis is to determine what professional knowledge preschool teachers have regarding the education of children with special educational needs. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the concept of children with special educational needs. In connection with the education of children with special educational needs, we define school counseling facilities, support measures, including educational assistants. The role of the teacher itself is also crucial, therefore we focus on the personality of the teacher and their pedagogical competencies. The practical part of the bachelor thesis deals with quantitative research using a questionnaire survey. We investigated the professional knowledge and opinions of preschool teachers on the education of children with special educational needs, which school counseling facilities they can turn to, and how they evaluate mutual cooperation. We addressed the awareness of teachers about the forms of education for children with special educational needs and the process of educating these children. The results were then processed, compared with other research in the discussion, and recommendations for practice were proposed.
