Diplomová práca sa zoberá problematikou Európskej centrálnej banky so špecifickým zameraním na jej vývoj, históriu, súčasnosť a priebeh krízy. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na vývoj činností ECB, počiatky a priebeh európskej hospodárskej integrácie. Druhá kapitola analyzuje vývoj priamych a nepriamych nástrojov menovej politiky ECB.
