Creating a Didactic Tool to Support the Teaching of Graphic Design

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tvorbou didaktické pomůcky pro výuku grafického designu na střední škole, konkrétně v oboru Reprodukční grafik pro média. Cílem bylo vytvořit souvislý, přístupný a vizuálně atraktivní učební text, který bu-de sloužit jako opora pro výuku a zároveň motivující materiál pro žáky. Práce vychází z principů didaktiky a grafického designu, zohledňuje potřeby cílové skupiny a propojuje teoretické poznatky s praktickými příklady. Výsledná pomůcka zahrnuje kapitoly zaměřené mimo jiné na typografii, barvy, práci s Adobe programy, kreativní proces, grafické prvky a trendy v designu. Součástí pomůcky jsou také multimediální prvky, jako QR kódy vedoucí na videa. Výstupem práce je konkrétní vzdělávací materiál určený pro žáky i pedagogy.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on the development of a didactic aid for teaching graphic design at the secondary school level, specifically for the study program “Reproduction Graphic Designer for Media.” The aim was to create a coherent, accessible, and visually appealing educational text that supports both teaching and student motivation. The thesis draws on principles of didactics and graphic design, taking into account the needs of the target group and combining theoreti-cal knowledge with practical examples. The resulting material includes chapters on typography, color theory, Adobe software, the creative process, graphic ele-ments, and current design trends. The educational aid also incorporates multi-media elements such as QR codes linking to instructional videos. The outcome is a practical teaching resource designed for both students and educators.
