Subjective perception of health in adolescents

Abstract:

ABSTRAKT Cíl: Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit subjektivní vnímání zdraví u adolescentů ve věku 15 ? 18 let, zjistit rozdíly mezi studenty a jednotlivými školními zařízeními a popsat je. Dále je cílem práce zaměřit se na jednotlivé složky zdraví, posoudit je a případné rozdíly popsat. Metodika: Sběr dat proběhl od ledna 3013 do listopadu 2013 ve dvou školních zařízeních, gymnáziu v Bučovicích a gymnáziu Františka Živného v Bohumíně. Byly použity standardizované dotazníky Young-HUNT 2, jejichž autorem je Hans-Johan Breidablik. Dotazníky byly doplněné o informativní úvodní stranu. Student s jejich vyplněním dal souhlas se zpracováním dotazníku. Analýza dat byla provedena statistikem v programu NCSS 2007 na hladině významnosti 0,05. Výsledky: Výzkumným šetřením byly zjištěny rozdíly v subjektivním vnímání zdraví u studentů podle pohlaví, a to jak v celkovém hodnocení, tak v hodnocení v jednotlivých oblastech zdraví. Dále se potvrdily rozdíly v subjektivním vnímání zdraví u adolescentů v jednotlivých oblastech podle typu školního zařízení. Největší rozdíly se potvrdily v oblastech týkajících se obecného zdraví, kožních onemocnění, rýmy, tabáku, alkoholu a stravování. Závěr: Je nezbytné věnovat zdraví mladých dospělých nemalou pozornost. Nejvhodnější metodou, jak předcházet zdraví ohrožujícího chování je primárně edukace. Podle percentuálních výsledků popisné statistiky by bylo vhodné se zaměřit na oblasti jako je zdravý životní styl, racionální strava, prevence kouření, požívání alkoholu a jiných návykových látek, prevence stresu, prevence zneužívání a nadužívání léků a léčiv. Dále je potřeba se věnovat oblasti antikoncepce u dívek a rozšířit povědomí o negativních důsledcích na zdraví.

ABSTRACT Objective: The aim of the thesis was to investigate the subjective perception of health in adolescents aged 15-18 years, to determine differences between individual students and school facilities and to describe them. Furthermore, the aim of this work focus on the individual components of health, assess it and describe any differences. Methodology: Data collection took place from January 3013 to November 2013 in two school facilities Gymnasium in Bučovice and Gymnasium Františka Živného in Bohumín. We were used standardized questionnaires Young-HUNT 2, by Hans-Johan Breidablik. Questionnaires were accompanied by informative homepage. Student with filling them gave consent to the processing of the questionnaire. Data analysis was performed Statistics in the NCSS 2007 at the significance level of 0.05. Results: Research investigation identified differences in the subjective perception of health among students by gender, both in the overall assessment and evaluation in different areas of health. It was further confirmed differences in the subjective perception of health among adolescents in different areas depending on the type of school facilities. The largest differences were confirmed in areas related to general health, skin diseases, colds, tobacco, alcohol and food. Conclusion: It is necessary to pay the health of young adult considerable attention. The best method to prevent health-threatening behavior is primarily education. According to the results of descriptive statistics, the percentages would be appropriate to focus on areas such as healthy lifestyle, rational diet, smoking prevention, alcohol and other drugs, stress prevention, prevention of misuse and overuse of medicines and drugs. We also need to pay contraceptive in girls and spread awareness about the negative consequences on health.
