Profiles of the Nazis in the second wave of Czech war prose

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je popsat poetiku děl autorů tvořících v období tzv. "druhé vlny české válečné prózy" se zvláštním zaměřením na zobrazení nacistických postav v těchto dílech. V teoretické části se zaměřujeme zejména na samotný pojem "druhá vlna české válečné prózy", co je pro toto období příznačné a jaký okruh autorů sem spadá. Zároveň jsou načrtnuty i možné pohledy na výklad postav v literárním díle a možnosti aplikování těchto výkladů v rámci tématu bakalářské práce. Dále v podrobnějším rozboru se zaměřujeme na několik vybraných děl, zejména autorů jako jsou Arnošt Lustig, Norbert Frýd, Jan Procházka, okrajově také Bohumil Hrabal.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe the poetics of works by authors forming in the period of the "second wave of czech war prose" with an extra focus on the displaying of Nazi characters in these works. In the theoretical part we are focusing on the concept itself, the "second wave of czech war prose", what is typical for this period and what circle of authors is part of it. At the same time, there are outlined some possible views on the literature-character interpretation by a literary work and possibilities of application of these interpretations within the topic of this bachelor thesis. Furthermore in the detailed analysis we are focusing on a few selected works, especially from authors as Arnošt Lustig, Norbert Frýd, Jan Procházka, marginally also Bohumil Hrabal.
