The Great financial crisis and its impact on regulation and supervision in Europe

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce na téma "Velká finanční krize a její vliv na regulaci a dohled v Evropě" je analýza Velké finanční krize, porovnání regulačních pravidel a principů, kterými se řídily dohledové instituce v Evropě před vypuknutím a po skončení vlastní krize a analýza změny přístupu k ratingovým agenturám. První kapitola práce se zabývá historickými případy krizí, příčinami vzniku Velké finanční krize, dále stručně shrnuje její průběh a postihuje její vliv na země Evropské unie. V druhé kapitole je popsán vznik a vývoj spolupráce regulatorních a dohledových orgánů v Evropě. Třetí kapitola je věnována ratingovým agenturám, jejich postupnému nabývání moci, následnému podílu na propuknutí krize a změně v přístupu institucí k jejich výstupu -- ratingu.

Abstract:

The goal of the bachelor thesis "The Great Financial Crisis a its impact on regulation and supervision in Europe" is to analyse The Great Financial Crisis, compare regulatory principles and rules, which the european supervisory institutions had followed before the outbreak and in the aftermath of the Great Financial Crisis and to analyse the changes in attitude towards the credit rating agencies. The first chapter of the thesis occupies itself with historical cases of crises, causes of commencement of The Great Financial Crisis, then it briefly summarizes its development and expresses its impact on the countries of The European Union. In the second chapter the birth and evolution of cooperation of regulatory and supervisory european institutions is described. The third chapter is dedicated to the credit rating agencies, their gradual gain of power, consecutive share on the outbreak of the crisis and to the changes in attitude of international institutions to their output -- the rating.
