Parking Policy of medium-sized cities

Abstract:

Předložená práce je věnována statické dopravě České republiky. Zabývá se problémy souvisejícími s nárůstem individuální automobilové dopravy a s tím spojenými komplikacemi při parkování ve městech. Na základě zkoumání aktuálního stavu problematiky je v práci uvedeno několik metod a nástrojů, jak tyto jevy eliminovat. Cílem je, na základě teoretického poznání, které bude nastíněno v první části práce, popsat a následně zhodnotit parkovací politiku ve vybraných městech České republiky. Pro potřeby hodnocení byla zvolena záměrně města Tábor, Kroměříž a Jihlava. Z vybraných měst parkovací politiku nejlépe aplikuje město Tábor, jehož řešení je orientováno nejen na současnou situaci ve městě, ale především se snaží eliminovat i budoucí negativní vývoj parkování. Kroměříž je naopak městem s neexistujícím konceptem parkovací politiky a na tomto příkladu budou nastíněny problémy, které přináší ?režim bez řádu?. Třetím vybraným městem se stala Jihlava, jejíž zastupitelé se dlouhodobě snaží o nalezení vhodné parkovací politiky.

Abstract:

The work is devoted to static traffic of the Czech Republic. It deals with issues related to the increase of private car traffic and the complications associated with parking in cities. Based on examining the current state of the problem there are few methods and tools given to show how to eliminate these phenomena. The goal, based on the theoretical knowledge that will be outlined in the first part of the work, is to describe and then evaluate the parking policy in selected cities in the Czech Republic. The town of Tabor, Kromeriz and Jihlava were chosen to compare. Tabor has the best parking policy from the selected cities because their solution is focused not only on the current situation in the city, but they are mainly trying to eliminate the negative developments in future parking. Kromeriz is, on the contrary, the city with no concept of city parking policy, and this example will outline the challenges and problems caused by that "not existing order". The third selected city is Jihlava, whose representatives has long been trying to find a suitable parking policy.
