The Causes and Manifestations Mental Illness

Abstract:

Jako téma bakalářské práce jsem si vybrala: „Příčiny a projevy duševních poruch". Cílem bakalářské práce bylo popsat druhy duševních poruch a porovnání ochranných opatření. Práce obsahuje obecný přehled duševních poruch a ochranných opatření v právním řádu České republiky a jejich srovnání s tresty. Zároveň je uvedeno, v jakých formách se vykonává opatření a jejich délka trvání. V rámci institutu zabezpečovací detence jsou představeny detenční ústavy v Brně a Opavě, okrajově je také zmíněna úprava zabezpečovací detence v Nizozemí. Jsou zde popsána také jednotlivá pravidla pro ukládání ochranného léčení vedle trestu odnětí svobody. Nalezneme úvahy nad pořadím výkonu uloženého trestu a ochranného opatření, kdy se za nejvhodnější považuje souběžný výkon, při kterém je s léčením započato již ve věznici.

Abstract:

For my bachelor’s work I have chosen the topic „The causes and manifestations mental illness". The aim of this bachelor’s work was to describe the types of mental illness and the comparison of protective measures. The paper also included a general overview of the mental illness and protective measures according to the legal order of the Czech Republic. There are a compare and contrast of the penalties. There is also stated the forms of the measures and their duration. The detention facilities in Brno and Opava are described as being a part of preventive detention. Legislation for how it deals with patients in the Netherlands also is mentioned. There is also included within the paper the various rules on the administration of protective treatment in combination with imprisonment. There are reflections on the order of execution of the imposed punishment and protective measures when treatment already started in prison and the best way to implement the execution of punishment and protective measures.
