Spain's competitiveness and post-crisis structural reforms

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá změnou konkurenceschopnosti Španělska od propuknutí krize, a dále strukturálními reformami, které byly přijaty v reakci na Evropskou dluhovou krizi, a to za účelem zlepšení konkurenceschopnosti Španělska. Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce je vyhodnocení vlivů strukturálních reforem, které byly přijaty v reakci na Evropskou dluhovou krizi, na španělskou konkurenceschopnost. V první části práce jsou teoreticky vymezeny ukazatele, které se využívají k měření konkurenceschopnosti, přičemž u každého ukazatele je stanovena hodnota Španělska. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na podněty pro přijetí reforem a jednotlivé reformy, které byly přijaty po vzniku Evropské dluhové krize. Dále popisuje cíl jejich implementace. V závěrečné kapitole jsou analyzovány vlivy zavedených reforem na konkurenceschopnost Španělska a výsledné hodnoty vyjadřující konkurenceschopnost jsou porovnávány s hodnotami Španělska před krizí, v průběhu a po krizi.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with change of competitiveness of Spain since the outbreak of the crisis and structural reforms adopted in response to the European debt crisis in order to improve Spain's competitiveness. The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the effects of structural reforms adopted in response to the European debt crisis on Spanish competitiveness. In the first part of the thesis are theoretically defined indicators, which are used for measuring of competitiveness, while value of Spain competitiveness is determined for each indicator. The second chapter focuses on the incentives for the adoption of reforms and the individual reforms adopted after the emergence of the European Debt Crisis and describes the objective of their implementation. In the final chapter are analyzed effects of established reforms on Spain's competitiveness and then these competitiveness values are compared with Spain's pre-crisis, during the crisis and post-crisis values.
