The bachelor thesis deals with the German base verb “schließen“ and its verbal derivates. The aim of the thesis is to determine the meaning of the verb “schließen”, its most frequent derivates, what these mean, and what their most common equivalents in Czech are. Bakalářská práce se zabývá německým základovým slovesem „schließen“ a jeho slovesnými odvozeninami. Cílem práce je zjistit významy slovesa „schließen“, jeho nejčastější odvozeniny, co tyto znamenají a co jsou jejich nejčastější ekvivalenty v češtině.
