Social handicap in the literature for children and youth

Abstract:

Diplomová práce mapuje literaturu pro děti a mládež, ve které se vyskytuje téma handicapu. Teoretická část se zabývá vymezením termínů jako handicap, integrace a etická výchova. Dále se zaměřuje na vývoj postojů společnosti k lidem s handicapem. Větší prostor je věnován současné české literatuře pro děti a mládež s tématikou handicapu a její následné analýze. Praktická část zpracovává výsledky dotazníkového šetření, které probíhalo u žáků 5. tříd. Cílem šetření bylo zjištění vztahu žáků 5. tříd k literatuře pro děti a mládež s tématikou handicapu a jejich představ o lidech s handicapem.

Abstract:

This diploma work conducts a survey of literature for children and the youth which includes the topic of handicap. The theoretical part looks into definitions of terms such as handicap, integration and ethical education. The part also engages in the deve-lopment of social attitudes towards the disabled. Close attention is paid to contemporary Czech literature for children and the youth including the topic of handicap and its consequent analysis. The practical part processes results of a questionare survey which was implemented within pupils of the fifth grade. The target of that survey was learning a kind of attitude of the pupils mentioned above towards the literature for children and the youth including the topic of handicap and their notion of handicapped people.
