The activation of the elderly with dementia in in-residential houses

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na aktivizační programy v pobytovém zařízení pro seniory postižené demencí. Problematika je rozebírána z pohledu pracovníků domova se zvláštním režimem. Práce hledá odpověď na výzkumnou otázku: „Jaký postoj zaujímají pracovníci domova se zvláštním režimem k aktivizaci seniorů trpících demencí?“ Práce je rozdělena do tří částí. V teoretické části je definováno stáří a demence, dále je přibližován pojem aktivizace, charakterizovány jsou i pobytové služby a pojem postoj. Ve druhé, metodické části práce je uváděna zvolená výzkumná strategie a kroky, jakým způsobem byl výzkum realizován. Analytická část se věnuje interpretaci získaných dat a výsledkům výzkumu. Součástí analytické části jsou i vlastní témata respondentů, která z výzkumu vyplynuly a uváděny jsou i limity výzkumu. Závěr práce poskytuje odpověď na hlavní výzkumnou otázku.

Abstract:

The Bachelor´s Thesis is focused on activation programs in retirement homes for seniors with dementia. The problem is discussed from the point of view of the employees of a Home with Special Regime. The thesis is trying to find an answer to the question: “What is the attitude of the employees of the Home with Special Regime to the activation of seniors with dementia?” The text is divided into three parts. In the theoretical part, the old age and dementia is defined. Further, the meaning of activation, residential services is explained and the concept of attitude is characterized. In the second part, the methodical part, the chosen research strategy is presented as well as the individual steps of the research realization. The last, analytical part, concerns the interpretation of the obtained data and the research results. The topics suggested by the respondents and the research limits are also included in the analytical part. The conclusion of the thesis provides the answer to the main questions, raised at the beginning.
