Diplomová práce se zabývá překladem a přejímáním francouzských termínů do češtiny v oblasti módy v průběhu 20. století. Teoretická část je zaměřena především na vliv vnějších faktorů, které buď přispívají k přejímání z cizích jazyků, nebo mu naopak brání, a na to, jak se tyto faktory měnily v průběhu minulého století.
