Sexual differences in microscopic construction of kidneys of Glis glis

Abstract:

Samice plcha velkého vykazují vyšší hodnoty v hmotnosti ledvin. Pomocí mikroskopických technik jsme ale nezjistili, že by se mohlo jednat o pohlavní dimorfismus zapříčiněný buněčnou hypertrofií nebo hyperplazií jednotlivých buněčných struktur, ale domníváme se, že se zřejmě jedná o rozdílnou enzymatickou aktivitu, která má za následek tento rozdíl v hmotnosti. Jedinými prokazatelně dimorfickými strukturami v samičí ledvině jsou podle našich výsledků distální kanálky, které vykazují nejvyšší hodnoty v průměrech kanálků u mláděte a druhé nejvyšší u dospělé samice. Také výška epitelu těchto kanálků byla naměřena nejvyšší u samic. U dospělé samice byly naměřeny také vysoké hodnoty průměru a výšky epitelu u kanálků kličky. V ostatních měřených hodnotách, jako jsou počty glomerulů na plochu, velikosti ledvinných tělísek, parametry proximálních kanálků a tloušťky kůry a dřeně, dominují samci.

Abstract:

The females of Glis glis have more heavier their kidneys than males. With using microscophic technics we havent found out that it shoud be sexual dimorphism cause by cellular hypertrophy or the hyperplazia of each cells structures. We suppose that it should evidently by different enzymatic activity, which cause this diference in mass of kidneys. According our results the only obvious dimorphic structures in females kidney are distal tubules which have the highest values in tubules diameter in case or Glis glis juvenilie and the second highest in case of adult Glis glis female. Also the epitels height of these tubules was measured as the biggest in case of Glis glis female. In case of adult female, we have also measured very high values in loops tubules related to tubules diameter and the height of epitel. In another measured values, like a numbers of renal glomerules related to the surface, a size of kidneys bodies, a parameters of proximal tubules and thickness of kidneys cortex and medulla, males are dominant.
