The concept of social responsibility and Smart City implementation in a selected municipality

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská diplomová práce se zabývá konceptem společenské odpovědnosti a realizací tzv. Smart City ve městě Hradec Králové. Nejprve je v teoretické části práce věnován prostor samotnému pojmu společenská odpovědnost, jelikož jeho definice není jednotná. Poté se práce věnuje společenské odpovědnosti přímo ve veřejné správě, dále představuje koncepty, které municipalitám mohou metodicky pomoci se společenskou odpovědností a v neposlední řadě možnostem využití nových informačních a komunikačních technologií při implementaci Smart City. Výzkumným cílem této práce je zanalyzovat situaci ve vybraném městě prostřednictvím rozhovoru s odpovědnou osobou z magistrátu města a následným ověřením informovanosti občanů tohoto města. Na základě tohoto výzkumu jsou pak navržena doporučení pro město s větším zaměřením na komunikaci společenské odpovědnosti i přes sociální sítě.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the concept of social responsibility and the implementation of the Smart City concept in the city of Hradec Králové. Firstly, the theoretical part of the work is devoted to the term social responsibility because its definition is not unambiguous. Once the reader is sufficiently acquainted with the subject, the work focuses on social responsibility directly in the context of public administration, it also presents concepts that can methodically help municipalities with social responsibility and, last but not least, the possibilities of using new information and communication technologies in the implementation of Smart City. The aim of this work is to analyze the situation in the selected city through an interview with a responsible person from the city council and subsequent verification of the awareness of the citizens of this city. Based on this research, recommendations with a greater focus on the communication of social responsibility through social networks are proposed to the city.
