Possibilities of using the Functional Movement screen (FMS) method for the diagnosis of movement patterns in athletics

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá metodou nazývanou Functional Movement Screen (FMS) v atletice, pomocí které je možné diagnostikovat pohybový aparát, konkrétně vybrané pohybové vzorce. Cílem práce byla diagnostika a pohybových vzorců u vybraného souboru atletů staršího školního věku (10-14 let). V teoretických východiscích práce je charakterizován pohyb a pohybová soustava. Dále jsou uvedena specifika jednotlivých atletických disciplín z hlediska zapojení svalů. Na závěr této části práce je charakterizován vývoj ve starším školním věku. V metodické části je popsán výzkumný soubor, a především metoda FMS, její charakteristika a hodnocení. Výzkumná část se zaměřuje na testování pohybových vzorců u vybraného souboru atletů staršího školního věku, konkrétně ve věku 10-14 let (n = 50). Výsledky testování byly normativně porovnány, dále byly porovnány výsledky skupiny probandů ve věku 10-11 s výsledky skupiny probandů ve věku 13-14 let.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the method called Functional Movement Screen (FMS) in athletics, with which it is possible to diagnose the movement apparatus, specifically selected movement patterns. The aim of the work was the diagnosis and movement patterns of a selected group of athletes of older school age (10-14 years). Movement and the movement system are characterized in the theoretical basis of the work. Furthermore, the specifics of individual athletic disciplines are given in terms of muscle involvement. At the end of this part of the thesis, development in older school age is characterized. The methodological part describes the research set and, above all, the FMS method, its characteristics and evaluation.The research part focuses on testing movement patterns in a selected group of athletes of older school age, specifically aged 10-14 years (n = 50). The results of the testing were normatively compared, and the results of the group of probands aged 10-11 were compared with the results of the group of probands aged 13-14.
