Management Support of Travel Company Mtrips using BI Tools

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je navrhnout a implementovat řešení Business Intelligence pro cestovní společnost M-trips. Účelem řešení je vytvořit různé BI systémy, které umožní poskytovat podporu řízení a optimalizovat některé podnikové procesy tak, aby byla minimalizována rizika společnosti. Na začátku práce je motivace ke zpracování řešení a business zadání, kde je uvedena společnost, pro kterou je řešení vyvíjeno a také jsou uvedeny jednotlivé důvody zájmu o řešení. Následuje zadání dat projektu, kde jsou definovány výrobní systémy a požadavky firmy na řešení. Následující část práce popisuje implementaci řešení. Od extrakce dat z produkčních systémů až po samotnou distribuci řešení koncovým uživatelům. V posledních kapitolách jsou provedeny obchodně-technické testy dříve představeného řešení, dále jsou uvedeny konkrétní závěry pro implementaci a následně využití vyvinutých nástrojů BI s návrhem strategického a provozního rozvoje společnosti v budoucnu.

Abstract:

The aim of the master thesis is to design and implement a Business Intelligence solution for travel company M-trips. The purpose of the solution is to create various BI systems that will allow you to provide management support and optimize some business processes to minimize the company's risks. At the beginning of the thesis, there is a motivation for the solution to be processed, as well as a business assignment that states the company for which the solution is developed and also lists the individual reasons for the interest in the solution. This is followed by the data assignment of the project, where the production systems are defined as well as the company's requirements for the solution. The following part of the thesis describes the implementation of the solution. From data extraction from production systems to the actual distribution of the solution to end users. In the last chapters, business and technical tests of the previously presented solution are carried out, as well as specific conclusions are provided for the implementation, and then the use of the developed BI tools with a proposal for the strategic and operational development of the company in the future.
