Activization of clients in retirement homes and homes with special regime

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá aktivizačními činnostmi v domovech pro seniory a v domovech se zvláštním režimem. Věnuje se rovněž vlivu těchto aktivit na život seniorů v tomto prostředí. Cílem práce je zdůraznit, jaký význam mají správně zvolené volnočasové aktivity, které jsou jedním z velmi důležitých aspektů kvality života klientů. V teoretické části poukazuji na problematiku stáří, a s tím související kvalitu života v seniorském věku. Popisuji metody, které v současnosti nejvíce využívají aktivizační pracovníci v pobytových zařízeních pro seniory. V praktické části se zabývám vyhodnocením řízených rozhovorů, jak z pohledu pracovníků poskytujících sociální služby, tak i z pohledu jejich klientů. Záměrem bylo zmapovat aktivizační metody, jejich využití s ohledem na zájmy před umístěním v zařízeních a přínos pro klienta v osobním životě.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the activation activities in homes for the elderly and in homes with a special regime. It also deals with the impact of these activities on the lives of seniors in this setting. The aim of the thesis is to emphasize the importance of correctly chosen leisure activities, which are one of the most important aspects of the quality of clients’ life. In the theoretical part I point out the issue of old age, and the related quality of life in senior age. I describe the methods that are currently most used by activation workers. In the practical part I deal with the evaluation of guided interviews, both from the perspective of workers providing social services and from the perspective of their clients. The intention was to map the activation methods, their use with regard to the interests before placement in the facilities and the benefit for the client in personal life.
