Analysis of Long-term Assets from the View of Czech Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je analýza dlouhodobého majetku z pohledu Českých účetních standardů (ČÚS) a Mezinárodních standardů účetního výkaznictví (IFRS) ve společnosti Greiner Assistec, s.r.o. V teoretické části je charakterizován majetek jak z hlediska ČÚS, tak i z hlediska IFRS. Konkrétně standardů IAS 16 Pozemky, budovy a zařízení, IAS 36 Snížení hodnoty aktiva a IFRS 16 Leasing. Předmětem první poloviny praktické části je analýza evidence dlouhodobého majetku dle ČÚS, kterými se společnost řídí. Druhá polovina praktické části se orientuje na analýzu evidence dlouhodobého majetku dle IFRS. Poslední část práce obsahuje návrh doporučení na základě zjištěných výsledků, které ukazují, jak se změní vykazování dlouhodobého majetku po přijetí Mezinárodních standardů účetního výkaznictví.

Abstract:

The subject of this bachelor thesis is the analysis of long-term assets from the view of Czech Accounting Standards (CAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in company Greiner Assistec, s.r.o. In theoretical part there is characterized assets in terms of CAS and in terms of IFRS. Specifically, IAS 16 Property, plant and equipment, IAS 36 Impairment of assets and IFRS 16 Lease. Subject of the first half of the practical part is analysis of long-term assets according to CAS which the company follows. The second half of the practical part focuses on analysis of long-term assets according to IFRS. Last part of this thesis contains proposal recommendation based on the results, which shows how the reporting of long-term assets will change after the adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards.
