Abstract:
This thesis examines an organization of Slovene immigrants in the United States, which began to develop in the late 19th century. Each Slovene community follows at least one of the four organizational structures: the head office or the lodge of the fraternal benefit society, a Slovene ethnic parish, a Slovene national home or editorial offices or publisher of a Slovene ethnic newspaper. Práca skúma organizovanosť slovinských prisťahovalcov v Spojených štátoch, ktorá sa začala rozvíjať od konca 19. storočia. V každej slovinskej komunite sa nachádzala aspoň jedna z nasledujúcich štyroch organizačných štruktúr: sídlo alebo pobočka svojpomocnej podpornej organizácie, slovinská etnická farnosť, slovinský národný dom alebo redakcia slovinských novín.
