Formation and meaning of rules for accounting and reporting

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je charakterizovat právní úpravu účetnictví podnikatelů v ČR a vymezit významné linie mezinárodní účetní harmonizace. Teoretická část se zprvu zaměřuje na účetnictví dle české účetní legislativy, a to na základní právní normy, účetní závěrku, účetní zásady a předpoklady. V rámci harmonizace účetnictví je popsána regulace účetnictví v EU a dva světově významné účetní systémy IFRS a US GAAP. Následující kapitola se zabývá významnými rozdíly mezi IFRS a českými účetními předpisy. Druhá část práce se věnuje deskripci změn v zákoně o účetnictví od jeho vzniku až po aktuální znění. Součástí je i vlastní šetření s cílem zjistit, zda vybrané firmy z Plzně a okolí plní v posledních letech povinnost zveřejnění účetní závěrky ve sbírce listin obchodního rejstříku.

Abstract:

The main goal of the bachelor thesis is to characterize the legal regulation of business accounting in the Czech Republic and to define important lines of international accounting harmonization. The theoretical part initially focuses on accounting according to the Czech accounting legislation, namely on basic legal norms, the financial report, accounting principles and assumptions. In the framework of accounting harmonization, the regulation of accounting in the EU and two world-leading accounting systems IFRS and US GAAP are described. The following chapter delas with significant differences between IFRS and Czech accounting regulations. The second part of the bachelor thesis is devoted to the description of changes in the Accounting Act from its inception to the current wording. This part also includes own research to find out whether selected companies from Pilsen and the surrounding area have fulfilled the obligation to publish their financial report in the collection of commercial register documents in recent years.
