The forms of communication of children with autism and severe mental retardation

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá formami komunikace u dětí s autismem a přidruženým těžkým mentálním postižením. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. První část je teoretického rázu a přináší poznatky odborníků. Jednotlivé kapitoly se zabývají autismem jako takovým, jeho jednotlivými typy, které se často pojí s mentálním postižením, projevy autismu a specifika autismu a mentálního postižení. Dále je práce zaměřena na komunikaci, alternativní a augmentativní komunikační systémy a možnosti vzdělávání. Ve třetí části bakalářské práce jsou na základě kvalitativního výzkumu vypracovány tři případové studie, které se věnují formám komunikace konkrétních dětí. Nakonec jsou zde shrnuty závěry výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the forms of communication of children with autism and intercurrent severe mental retardation. This work is devided into two parts. The first part is a theoretical one and brings findings of specialists. Particular chapters deal with autism, paticular kinds of autism which are often associated with mental retardation, pronouncements of autism and the specifics of autism and mental retardation. This thesis is also focused on communication, alternative and augmentative communication systems and the possibilities of education. In the third part of the bachelor´s thesis there are elaborated three case studies which attend to forms of communication of particular children. Finally the conlcusions of research enquiry are summarised.
