Innovations and their influence on the competitiveness of the company

Abstract:

Předmětem této diplomové práce je zjistit přínos vybraných inovačních projektů na konkurenceschopnost podniku. Výzkum je prováděn v malém mladém podniku z oblasti strojírenství. V první části textu jsou vymezeny teoretické poznatky čerpané z literatury v oblasti inovací, konkurenceschopnosti a Průmyslu 4.0. Praktická část práce obsahuje kvalitativní a kvantitativní šetření. Diplomová práce pojednává také o partnerství mezi podniky a vyhodnocuje, zda toto partnerství může být v rámci inovačních projektů přínosné. Inovace jsou velmi aktuální a často s nimi spojujeme Průmysl 4.0. Práce odpoví na otázku, zda jsou inovace formou Průmyslu 4.0 vhodné pro zkoumaný podnik a jaké přínosy inovace do podniku přináší. Dále v práci poukazuji na různé zdroje financování inovací, jejichž získání je však pro malé a střední podniky často velmi administrativně náročné.

Abstract:

The subject of this diploma thesis is to determine the contribution of selected innovative projects on the competitive ability of a business. Research has been conducted in a small and young enterprise in the mechanical engineering sector. The first part of the text defines theoretical findings gathered from literature in the areas of innovation, competitive ability and Industry 4.0. The practical part of the paper presents a qualitative and quantitative survey. The thesis also discusses partnerships between companies and evaluates whether such partnerships can be beneficial in innovative projects. Innovations are very topical, and we often associate Industry 4.0 with them. The thesis answers the question as to whether innovations in the form of Industry 4.0 are suitable for the researched company, and what benefits innovation brings to the company. My work further points out various sources for funding innovations, the acquiring of which is, however, often very administratively demanding for small and medium-sized enterprises.
