Impacts of intercultural communication and intercultural differences on company efficiency

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou dopadu mezikulturních odlišností a interkulturní komunikace na efektivitu firmy. Vzhledem k celosvětovému obchodnímu rozvoji se jedná o jeden z fenoménů dnešní doby. Každodenním střetům kultur čelí nejen cizinci ve vedení společnosti, ale i čeští zaměstnanci v pozici podřízených. Cílem práce je objasnit problematiku interkulturní komunikace, popsat mezikulturní rozdíly v nadnárodní společnosti a navrhnout vhodné způsoby řízení spolupráce mezi cizinci zastávajícími pozice top managementu a českými zaměstnanci. Výsledkem práce je analýza prostředí společnosti s japonským vedením a objasnění nejvýraznějších kulturních rozdílů. Analýza může být užitečná při řízení vzájemné spolupráce dvou kultur.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with intercultural communication and intercultural differences and its impact on company efficiency. This is a phenomenon of the present based on global business development. Everydays clashes of cultures face not only the foreigners in the company management, but also Czech employees in the positions of subordinates. The aim of the thesis is to clarify the issue of intercultural communication, to describe intercultural differences in a multinational company and to propose suitable ways of managing cooperation between foreigners holding top management positions and Czech employees. The result of this work is to analyze the environment of the company with Japanese management and to clarify the most significant cultural differences. The analysis could be useful in managing of the cooperation between two cultures.
