Properties and clinical relevance of coagulase-negative species of staphylococci
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce se věnuje koaguláza-negativním druhům stafylokoků, popisuje jejich základní vlastnosti a onemocnění, která způsobují. Uvádí poznatky o genomu a mobilních genetických elementech, faktorech virulence a mechanizmech rezistence na antibiotika. Srovnává také koaguláza-negativní stafylokoky s koaguláza-pozitivním druhem Staphylococcus aureus.
Abstract:
The thesis deals with coagulase-negative species of staphylococci, describes their basic characteristics and diseases which are caused by them. It shows findings of the genome and mobile genetic elements, virulence factors and mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance. It also compares coagulase-negative staphylococci with coagulase-positive species Staphylococcus aureus.
