Monocytární chemoatraktantní protein-1 (MCP-1) je významným markerem zánětu, čehož lze využít při výzkumu u kardiovaskulárních onemocnění, zejména pak u infarktu myokardu. MCP-1 je zodpovědný za migraci leukocytů a NK buněk směrem k poškozené tkáni; zprostředkovává tedy imunitní odpověď na zánět. Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein-1 (MCP-1) is an important marker of inflammation that is possible to use in research of cardiovascular diseases, especially in acute myocardial infarction. MCP-1 is responsible for migration of leukocytes and NK cells into the debris, it arranges an immune response to the inflammation.
