Education and employment of PWD in the labour market

Abstract:

Diplomová práce pojednává o tématu vzdělanosti a zaměstnanosti osob se zdravotním postižením (OZP) na trhu práce. V počáteční kapitole teoretické části jsou vysvětleny základní pojmy v problematice OZP. Dále navazuje tématy vzdělávání a zaměstnávání, kde jsou detailně sepsána data rozličných výzkumů s poznatky od autora práce. V kapitolách pracovní rehabilitace a právní úpravy jsou podrobně sepsány práva a povinnosti zaměstnavatelů a OZP v pracovním prostředí. Praktická část nejdříve vysvětluje autorem použitou metodiku kvalitativních polostrukturovaných rozhovorů, poté přechází k obsahu samotných rozhovorů. Data z rozhovorů v kombinaci s teoretickou částí a autorovou předchozí bakalářskou prací slouží k vyhodnocení a sepsání doporučujících stanovisek pro OZP k jejich lepší orientaci na trhu práce. V závěru jsou shrnuty poznatky z teoretické části a konečná doporučující stanoviska přehledně sumarizována do bodů, tím je naplněn hlavní cíl práce.

Abstract:

The Master's thesis deals with the topic of education and employment of persons with disabilities (PWD) in the labor market. The initial chapter of the theoretical part explains the basic concepts related to PWD. It then proceeds to topics of education and employment, where data from various research studies, along with the author's insights, are detailed. The chapters on vocational rehabilitation and legal regulations comprehensively outline the rights and responsibilities of employers and PWD in the work environment. The practical part first explains the methodology of qualitative semi-structured interviews used by the author, and then presents the content of the interviews. The data from the interviews, combined with the theoretical part and the author's previous bachelor's thesis, are used to evaluate and formulate recommended positions for PWD to better navigate the labor market. The conclusion summarizes the findings from the theoretical part and provides a clear summary of the final recommended positions in bullet points, thus fulfilling the main objective of the thesis.
