Loneliness in residential social services for seniors

Abstract:

Tato bakalářské práce zjišťuje výskyt osamělosti u klientů pobytových sociálních služeb, konkrétně domovů pro seniory. Rozděluje se do dvou částí - teoretické a výzkumné. V teoretické části se věnuji analýze a popisu pojmů senior, stárnutí a stáří, dále pak samotě a osamělosti a sociálním službám. Pozornost zde kladu hlavně pobytovým sociálním službám a primárně domovům pro seniory. Ve výzkumné části je zpracováno výzkumné šetření zacílené na 3 domovy pro seniory v Kraji Vysočina. Je zde zjišťováno celkové skóre osamělosti u respondentů, emoční a sociální složka osamělosti a úroveň osamělosti. Zkoumám jejich závislost s pohlavím, věkem, vzděláním a dalšími proměnnými.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis investigates the occurrence of loneliness among clients of residential social services, specifically homes for the elderly. It is divided into two parts - theoretical and research. In the theoretical part, I am devoted to the analysis and description of the concepts of senior, aging and old age, as well as solitude and loneliness to social services. Here I pay attention mainly to residential social services and primarily homes for the elderly. In the research part, a research investigation targeting 3 homes for the elderly in the Vysočina Region is processed. The respondents' overall loneliness score, the emotional and social component of loneliness and the level of loneliness are determined here. I examine their dependence with gender, age, education and other variables.
