Cooperation between Police of Czech republic and Authority for social and legal protection of children in matter of CAN syndrome during criminal procedure

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na posouzení úrovně a kvality spolupráce mezi Policií ČR a Orgánem sociálně-právní ochrany dětí ČR v trestním řízení, týkajících se případů dětí se syndromem CAN. V první části teoretické části práce jsou představeny orgány účastnící se spolupráce v rámci řešení případů syndromu CAN, tedy Policie ČR a OSPOD. V dané části je rovněž analyzována jejich činnost související s řešením těchto případů. Další část je zaměřena na zhodnocení úrovně péče o děti se syndromem CAN v rámci trestního řízení. V závěru teoretické části práce je obsažen popis syndromu CAN a základních forem vzniku daného syndromu. V praktické části práce je posléze provedena kvalitativní analýza dat shromážděných prostřednictvím strukturovaných rozhovorů. Kvalitativní analýza následně poslouží k zodpovězení výzkumné otázky ve znění „Jaká je úroveň a kvalita spolupráce mezi Policií ČR a OSPOD v trestním řízení týkajícím se případů dětí se syndromem CAN?“ Odhalené výstupy budou následně podrobeny další analýze a budou navrženy možnosti řešení případných nedostatků, přičemž mezi navržené možnosti řešení budou spadat nejen návrhy praktických opatření, ale i možných legislativních změn.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the assessment of the level and quality of cooperation between the Police of the Czech Republic and the Social Protection of Children Authority of the Czech Republic in criminal proceedings concerning cases of children with CAN syndrome. In the first part of the theoretical part of the thesis, the authorities involved in the cooperation in dealing with cases of CAN syndrome, i.e. the Police of the Czech Republic and the OSPOD, are introduced. In this part, their activities related to the resolution of these cases are also analysed. The next part focuses on the evaluation of the level of care for children with CAN syndrome in the framework of criminal proceedings. The theoretical part of the thesis concludes with a description of the CAN syndrome and the basic forms of the syndrome. In the practical part of the thesis a qualitative analysis of data collected through structured interviews is conducted. The qualitative analysis is then used to answer the research question "What is the level and quality of cooperation between the Police of the Czech Republic and the OSPOD in criminal proceedings concerning cases of children with CAN syndrome?" The revealed outputs will then be subjected to further analysis and options for addressing any shortcomings will be proposed, with the proposed solutions including not only suggestions for practical measures but also possible legislative changes.
