Motivation to Abuse of Hemp among Adolescent Musicians

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je popsat příčiny a motivaci k užívání marihuany u adolescentních hudebníků a následně analyzovat možná rizika spojená s užíváním této látky a navrhnout preventivní opatření z pohledu hudebníků. Teoretická část se zabývá na úvod charakteristikou adolescence, včetně fyzického, kognitivního a sociálního vývoje. Dále specifikuje vztah mezi mladistvým a hudbou. Další část se soustřeďuje na rizikové chování a jeho projevy. Popsána je také závislost a návykové chování. Následující část se zaměřuje na marihuanu v kontextu hudební scény a také na vztah mezi marihuanou a dospívajícími, včetně rizik užívání a intoxikace. Závěrečná část se pak věnuje motivaci a je doplněna o motivaci k užívání marihuany. Praktická část obsahuje kvalitativní průzkum formou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Rozhovory byly realizovány se čtyřmi adolescentními hudebníky mužského pohlaví. Záměrem bylo zjistit příčiny a motivy jejich užívání, jak tato látka ovlivňuje jejich hudební tvorbu a analyzovat rizika a možnosti prevence. Získaná data byla následně zpracována metodou tématické analýzy a v závěru praktické části jsou představeny výsledky průzkumu.

Abstract:

The main task of the thesis was to describe the causes and motivation for the use of marijuana among adolescent musicians, and subsequently to analyze the possible risks associated with the use of these substances and to propose preventive measures from the musicians' point of view. The theoretical part deals with the introduction of the characteristics of adolescence, including physical, cognitive and social development. It further specifies the relationship between the adolescent and music. The next part focuses on risky behavior in adolescence and its manifestations. Drug dependence and addictive behavior are described. Another capitol is dedicated to marijuana, both in the concept of the music scene and in relation of marihuana to adolescents, including the risks of use and intoxication. The last part deals with motivation. The practical part contains qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interviews. Interviews were conducted with four male adolescent musicians. The intention was to find out the causes and their use, how to analyze these motives to risk their musical creation and the possibilities of prevention. The obtained data were subsequently interpreted. At the end of the practical part, the results of the survey are presented.
