Blood pressure variability and arterial stiffness as predictors of cardiovascular disease in patients with CHICHS

Abstract:

Cílem této práce bylo zhodnocení variability krevního tlaku a tepenné tuhosti vyjád-řené velikostí nočního poklesu a hodnotami AASI (Ambulatory Arterial Stiffness In-dex) u pacientů s chronickou ischemickou chorobou srdeční. Výzkumný soubor tvo-řilo 50 pacientů (33 mužů, 17 žen), kteří podstoupili 7denní/24hodnové ambulantní monitorování krevního tlaku. Mezi opakovanými měřeními diurnálního indexu pro STK (%) nebyl pozorován statisticky významný rozdíl. Nebyl shledán rozdíl ve varia-bilitě nočního poklesu systolického krevního tlaku. Opakované měření DI DTK (%) ve dnech 1–7 se statisticky rovněž významně nelišily a nebyl zjištěn rozdíl ve variabi-litě nočního poklesu diastolického krevního tlaku. Výzkum potvrzuje existenci rozdí-lu v tepenné tuhosti vyjádřené hodnotou AASI v 24hodinových cyklech u pacientů s ischemickou chorobou srdeční získaného opakovaným sedmiden-ním/24hodinovým monitorováním.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to evaluate the variability of blood pressure and arterial stiffness as expressed by the magnitude of nocturnal drop and AASI values (Ambula-tory Arterial Stiffness Index) in patients with chronic coronary artery disease. The research file consisted of 50 patients (33 men, 17 women), who underwent 7-day/24-hour outpatient monitoring of blood pressure. No statistically significant difference was observed between repeated measurements of the diurnal index for SBP (%). No difference was found in the variability of the nocturnal drop in systolic blood pressure. Repeated measurements of DI for DBP (%) on days 1-7 were also not statistically significantly different and no difference was found in the variability of the nocturnal drop of diastolic blood pressure. The research confirms the existence of the difference in arterial stiffness expressed by the value of AASI in 24-hour cycles in patients with coronary artery disease obtained by repeated 7-day/24-hour moni-toring.
