European Stock Market behavior during a Financial Crisis

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the causes and patterns of financial crises, examines the factors of production and the consequent impact on financial and economic system as a whole. Analyzes in detail the current financial crisis, resulting in the U.S. and its impact on the European region. This thesis deals with the stock market reaction to the current financial crisis, where the analysis focuses on selected European stock index and the German DAX stock exchange FTSE English. Examine their behavior, their values and compares responses to global social and economic affairs. In regard to observe the stock indexes, the work discusses the behavior of a representative investor in a crisis and its response to cyclical market swings. In conclusion, the proposals to tackle the current recession with a view to addressing the future.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca sa zaoberá príčinami a modelmi finančných kríz,rozoberá faktory ich vzniku a následný dopadov na finančný a hospodársky systém ako taký.Podrobne analyzuje súčasnú finančnú krízu vzniknutú v USA a jej vplyv na európsky región. Ďalej práca pojednáva o reakcií akciových trhov na súčasnú finančnú krízu, kde sa analýza sústreďuje na vybrané európske akciové indexy nemeckej burzy DAX a anglickej burzy FTSE. Skúma ich chovanie, porovnáva ich hodnoty a reakcie na svetové spoločenské a hospodárske dianie. V súvislosti s uvedeným pozorovaním priebehov akciových indexov, práca rozoberá správanie sa reprezentatívneho investora v čase krízy a jeho reakcie na trhové cyklické výkyvy. V závere sa uvedené návrhy na zvládnutie súčasnej recesie s výhľadom riešenia do budúcnosti.
