Contributions of trade in shares for business economics and investors

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na význam obchodování s akciemi pro podniky a investory. První část teoretické práce popisuje akcie, jejich význam a druhy akcií, akciovou společnost, burzu, funkci burzy a účastníky burzovních obchodů. Dále jsou zde akcie představeny jako zdroj financování podniku v určité fázi jeho životního cyklu, proces emise akcií a dividendová politika. V druhé části teoretické práce je popsán pohled na akcie z hlediska investorů. Obsahem je fundamentální, technická a psychologická analýza. Teoretická část je završena pohledem na investice a investory. Popisuje rozdíl mezi spekulací a investicí, možnosti kolektivního investování, jaké jsou základní investiční strategie a kriteria pro výběr akciových titulů investory a význam diverzifikace akciového portfolia. V praktické části je řešen přínos vstupu společností na burzu. Jakým způsobem se podnik po emisi akcií dále rozvíjel, jakých výsledků dosáhl porovnáním historických účetních dat a jaké zhodnocení mohla investice přinést investorům. Zkoumáno je osm společností, které vstoupily na burzu v roce 1998 v USA.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with contributions of trade in shares for business economics and investors. In first theoretic part there are introduced shares, their value and types, stock company, stock exchange, duties of stock exchange, stock exchange participants. Shares are further introduced as a source of company financing in its certain life cycle, process of share offering and a politics of dividend payment. In the second theoretic part there are shares described from investors point of view. It contents fundamental, technical and psychological analysis. The theoretical part is finalized with elaboration about investors and investment. There is described diference between investment and speculation, posibility of collective investment, basic investment strategy, share selection kriteria and importace of portfolio diversification. The practical part solve contribution of companies entry on stock exchange. Advancement of stock company after share offering, comparison of development on historical accounting data basis and investment valuation for investor. Study is weighted eight companies with IPO in 1998 in the USA.
