The naked in novel for youthful from Iva Procházková

Abstract:

This thesis is an analysis of a novel The Naked of the authoress Iva Prochazková. She is a writer of migrant and young-adult literature. Main characters of the novel are five youths who are dealing with their adolescence and the rules of adult society. The main topic of the novel is a nakedness of an immature human being and the process of wrapping in new layers of clothes (experience) which grow numb and form people. The target of my thesis was to find out if the authoress succeeded in portraying adolescents´ feelings. Also I focused on the connection between authoress´ personal experience migrating to Germany, her own adolescence and the novel. Also how to understand the metaphor of nakedness? And is there any other maturation in person´s life than the one from childhood to adulthood? For the analysis I used the novel, secondary sources, and also I interviewed the authoress.

Abstract:

Téma mé bakalářské práce je analýza románu "Nazí" od autorky Ivy Procházkové. Jedná se o spisovatelku s migrační historií. Hlavními postavami je pětice mladistvých, kteří se vyrovnávají s procesem dospívání a s pravidly společnosti dospělých. Centrální tematika románu je nahost nevyzrálého člověka, proces nabalování vícero vrstev oblečení, které člověka znecitlivují, formují. Cílem mé práce bylo analyzovat dílo a zodpovědět otázky, zdali se autorce podařilo ztvárnit pocity adolescenta, zdali jí ke čtivosti dopomohla její migrační historie. Jak je možné porozumět centrální metafoře 'nahých' a je v lidském životě i jiný proces zrání, než z dětství k dospělosti? Při analýze jsem používala román Nazí, sekundární prameny a vlastní interview s autorkou.
