Interaction coaching style of coaches of fitness

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá interakčním stylem trenérů fitness. Trenéři byli vybráni na základě preferencí ve sportovních zařízeních Olomouce a Vyškova. Cílem diplomové práce bylo odhalit rozdíly mezi jednotlivými interakčními styly trenérů fitness. Porovnávali jsme využití jednotlivých interakčních stylů u daných trenérů z pohledu trenérů, tedy jejich sebereflexe a hodnocení těchto stylů z pohledu jejich klientů a "ideálním" interakčním stylem opět z pohledu trenérů i svěřenců. Pro sběr dat bylo použito dotazníkové šetření formou upravených variant dotazníků (QTI - Questionnaire on Teacher Interaction) interakčního stylu trenéra, které byly rozdány v jednotlivých tréninkových jednotkách. Výsledný výzkumný soubor tvořilo 5 trenérů a 46 klientů. Šetřením bylo zjištěno, že trenéři i jejich klienti upřednostňují kombinaci interakčních stylů pomáhající, organizátor, chápající a vede k zodpovědnosti. Vysoká shoda mezi trenéry a svěřenci také panuje u představy "ideálního" stylu trenéra, kde opět panují styly pomáhající, chápající a organizátor.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the interaction style of fitness coaches. The coaches were selected based on the preferences in the sports facilities of Olomouc and Vyškov. The aim of the thesis was to discover the differences between the different styles of fitness coaches. We compared the use of individual interaction styles for the coaches from the point of view of coaches, ie their self-reflection and evaluation of these styles from the perspective of their clients and the "ideal" interaction style, again from the perspective of coaches and their clientele. In order to collect the data, a questionnaire/survey was used in the form of modified variants of QTI (Questionnaire on Teacher Interaction) on the interaction style of the coach, which were distributed as individual training units. The resulting research group consisted of 5 coaches and 46 clients. The investigation found that coaches and their clients prefer a combination of helpful/friendly, leadership, understanding and responsibility/freedom styles. High consensus between coaches and clients also forms the "ideal" interaction coach style, where the styles of helpful/friendly, understanding and leadership are once again in place.
