The possibilities of research of field fortifications of the 20th century on the examples from the 1950-1960s

Abstract:

Práce prezentuje možnosti archeologického poznání polního opevnění 20. století na příkladu lokalit z 50. a 60. let, přičemž využívá hlavně metod nedestruktivní archeologie. Práce obsahuje ucelenou typologii objektů, která byla vytvořena na základě historických vojenských materiálů a následně použita v rámci terénního výzkumu pro interpretaci nalezených objektů. Výsledky byly porovnány s výsledky výzkumů polního opevnění z 30. let 20. století a zahraničí.

Abstract:

This work presents possibilities of research of field fortifications from 1950s and 1960s with use of non-destructive archaeological methods. The main source for studies is a large number of historical resources such as military documents or maps. There has been done the typology of objects based on the study of military documents, which was used during the surface survey. The results of the survey have been compared with results of research of field fortifications from 1930s and foreign researchs.
