The Practical Readiness and Functionality of the Educational System for Working with Gifted Pupils at Primary School.

Abstract:

Nosným tématem bakalářské práce je nadání, nadaní žáci na základní škole a zkoumání kvality přístupu základních škol k nadaným žákům v České republice. Bakalářská práce se skládá ze dvou hlavních částí: teoretické a praktické. Úvodní teoretická část se zaměřuje na objasnění základní terminologie a všech prakticky využitelných témat bezprostředně souvisejících s problematikou nadaných žáků, jako je identifikace nadaných žáků, metody rozvoje jejich nadání, nebo popis jejich osobnostních charakteristik včetně problémových projevů. Praktická část předkládá komplexní výsledky dvou výzkumů, které byly provedeny na osmi základních školách v Brně za účelem zjištění skutečné úrovně připravenosti výchovně vzdělávacího systému pro práci s nadanými žáky.

Abstract:

The principal theme of the bachelor thesis is talent, gifted pupils at primary school and researching the quality of primary schools´ approach to gifted pupils in the Czech Republic. The bachelor thesis consists of two main parts: the theoretical and the practical. The introductory theoretical part is focusing on explaining the basic terminology and all the practically exploitable elements immediately related to these issues, as the identification of gifted pupils, methods of improving their talent, or description of their personality traits including problem manifestations. The practical part demonstrates comprehensive results of two surveys, which were carried out at eight primary schools in Brno, in order to discover the real level of readiness of the educational system for working with gifted pupils.
