Reading literacy among pupils of third grades of selected primary schools

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se s názvem "Čtenářská gramotnost u žáků 3. ročníků na vybraných základních školách" se zabývá výzkumem čtenářské gramotnosti na prvním stupni základních škol. Práce se specializuje na čtenářskou gramotnost u žáků 3. ročníků, jejíž cílem je zmapovat postoje a zájmy žáků o čtení a postavení četby v jejich rodině. Dále jsme se v diplomové práci pokusili zjistit úroveň čtenářské gramotnosti u žáků této věkové kategorie v didaktickém testu a jejich schopnost pracovat s předloženým textem. Diplomová práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, a to na část teoretickou a empirickou. První, teoretická část, se věnuje vymezení základních pojmů z oblasti čtenářské gramotnosti, jako gramotnost, čtenářská gramotnost, rámcový vzdělávací program a výzkumy čtenářské gramotnosti. V empirické části je provedena analýza získaných informací a jejich následné vyhodnocení.

Abstract:

The presented diploma thesis, titled "Reading literacy of the 3rd grade pupils at selected elementary schools" is concerned with a research of reading literacy on primary level of elementary schools. The thesis focuses on the reading literacy of 3rd grade students and the goal is to map attitude towards and interest in reading, displayed by the said pupils, as well as the role of reading in their families. Next I attempted to find out the level of the reading literacy of the pupils with the use of a didactic test and their ability to work with a presented text. The diploma thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical one and an empirical one. The first is concerned with the definition of basic terms relating to the reading ability, for example literacy, reading literacy, RVP and reading literacy research. The empirical part contains an analysis of the information obtained and its subsequent evaluation.
