Anotácia:

Bakalářská práce Teaching Listening with the Beatles se zabývá teoretickými postupy výuky poslechu, aktivit a her spojených s poslechem, jakožto i poslechu hudby a písní ve třídách 7, 8 a 9 stupně na základní škole. Obsahuje rovněž výzkum a tři vyučovací plány, ve kterých jsou prakticky použity teoretické postupy, aktivity a hry, které lze aplikovat na písně od skupiny Beatles. Vzhledem k tomu, že celá praktická část je založena na písních Beatles, je úvodní část věnována stručné historii této skupiny. Poskytuje ucelený souhrn nejdůležitějších událostí od jejího založení až po rozpad. Práce je založena na známých faktografických událostech a jejím cílem nebylo poskytnout výčet diskografie a filmografie skupiny. Jedním z cílů práce bylo ukázat, že poslech hudby může být pro žáky zajímavý a zábavný. Poskytuje ucelený pohled na skupinu Beatles a praktické použití jejich písní v hodině angličtiny na základních školách.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis Teaching Listening with the Beatles deals with theoretical principles of teaching listening and activities connected with listening, as well as, the listening to music and songs in the 7th, 8th and 9th grades in the primary school. It also contains a survey and three lesson plans, which use theoretical principles and activities applicable to the songs by the Beatles. Since the whole practical part is based on the Beatles songs, the introductory part provides the summary of the most important events from the foundation to break-up of the band. The work is established on well-known facts and it does not aim to provide any enumeration of the band s discography or filmography. One of the objectives of the work was to show that listening to music can be interesting and enjoyable for pupils. It provides the summarizing view on the Beatles and the practical use of their songs in English lessons at primary schools.
