The History, Present and Prospects of the Economic and Monetary Union in the EU

Abstract:

Cílem této práce je zejména popis historického vývoje, současného stavu a predikce budoucího vývoje současného stádia, kterým je hospodářská a měnová unie v Evropské unii. První kapitola práce se zabývá popisem metod k dosažení integrace, rozdíly mezi jednotlivými typy a historickými pokusy o integraci. Druhá kapitola se zabývá popisem jednotlivých vln rozšiřování. Třetí kapitola popisuje vývoj měnových systémů, společné měny a měnové unie obecně. Čtvrtá kapitola popisuje současný stav a predikuje budoucí vývoj Evropské unie a Eurozóny.

Abstract:

The main target of this thesis is to describe historical evolution, current state and predict prospects of the Economic and Monetary Union in the EU. First chapter of this thesis deals with description of methods needed for integration process and diferences among various types. Second part of thesis deals with each phases of european enlargement. Third chapter of thesis describes evolution of the monetary systems, common currency and the Monetary Union in general. Fourth part of thesis describes current status and predicts future evolution of The European Union and The Euro Zone.
