Information and Communication Technologies for Pupils with Light Mental Retardation in Mathematics Education

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku informačních a komunikačních technologií u dětí s lehkou mentální retardací při výuce matematiky v základních školách. Cílem diplomové práce je popsat využívání informačních a komunikačních technologií u dětí s lehkou mentální retardací při výuce matematiky a porovnat jejich využívání s využíváním ostatních materiálních didaktických prostředků. Práci tvoří dvě stěžejní oblasti. Jedná se o teoretickou část, ve které jsou s využitím odborných zdrojů popsány pojmy vztahující se k tématu. Empirická část přináší výsledky a data, která se týkají využívání informačních a komunikačních technologií při výuce matematiky na druhém stupni základních škol u dětí s lehkou mentální retardací. Z výsledků je patrné, že při výuce matematiky u skupiny dětí s lehkou mentální retardací na druhém stupni základních škol je vhodné účelně využívat jak běžné materiální didaktické prostředky, tak i informační a komunikační technologie, které umožňují lépe naplňovat individuální potřeby a schopnosti dětí i specifika probíraného učiva jednotlivých tříd na druhém stupni základních škol. Při výuce matematiky na druhém stupni u dětí s lehkou mentální retardací lze z informačních a komunikačních technologií doporučit využívání interaktivních tabulí, stolních počítačů a tabletů doplněné běžnými materiálními didaktickými prostředky, jako jsou pracovní sešity, učebnice a obrazový materiál. V současné době využívání informační a komunikační technologií při výuce matematiky je spíše trendem pro mladší pedagogy. Jedním z důvodů může být jednodušší zvládnutí technické obsluhy technologií, což mimo jiné může vést k rychlejší přípravě na vyučovací

Abstract:

The master thesis is focused on the issue of information and communication technologies in children with a slight mental retardation in teaching mathematics in elementary schools. The aim of the diploma thesis is to describe the use of information and communication technologies in children with mental retardation in mathematics teaching and to compare their use with the use of other material didactic means. The work consists of two core areas. This is the theoretical part in which the concepts related to the subject are described using professional sources. The empirical part presents results and data concerning the use of information and communication technologies in the teaching of mathematics at the second level of elementary schools in children with mild mental retardation. It is clear from the results that in the teaching of mathematics in the group of children with mild mental retardation at the second level of elementary schools it is advisable to use both ordinary material didactic means as well as information and communication technologies, specifics of the subject the curriculum of each class at the second level of elementary schools. In the second grade of mathematics teaching in children with mild mental retardation, it is recommended to use interactive boards, desktops and tablets using information and communication technologies supplemented by standard physical didactic means, such as workbooks, textbooks and pictorial material. At present, the use of information and communication technologies in teaching mathematics is rather a trend for younger educators. One of the reasons may be easier to master technical maintenance with technology, which leads, among other things, to a faster preparation for a lesson.
