Web 2.0 Tools Used by Artist

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is dedicated to Web 2.0 tools and their use by artists. In it's first part briefly introduces the concept of Web 2.0 and defines selected Web 2.0 tools, which are used by artist. The aim of this thesis is to find answers to following questions: With which Web 2.0 tools work artists and what are the aims of their use? Are there any specific Web 2.0 art tools? If so, how could be these specific art tools categorized? As a basis in order to answer these questions we consider studies of specialized literature and examples of Web 2.0 art tools analysis from praxis. In the next part, attention is focused on collaborative internet art projects created by Web 2.0 art tools. These internet collaborative projects are introduced by concrete examples. The aim of this thesis is to depict on particular cases to the possibilities offered to artists by Web 2.0 tools, introduce specific Web 2.0 art tools and classify them, and also to introduce concrete collaborative internet projects created by Web 2.0 tools. The thesis creates transparent structure designated for further research and discussion to this topic.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá témou využívania nástrojov Webu 2.0 umelcami. V úvode stručne charakterizuje pojem Web 2.0 a podrobnejšie skúma vybrané nástroje Webu 2.0, ktoré využívajú umelci. Kladie si za cieľ zodpovedať na otázky: S akými nástrojmi Webu 2.0 pracujú umelci a k akým cieľom ich využívajú? Existujú špecifické umelecké nástroje Webu 2.0? Ak áno, ako ich možno kategorizovať? Podkladom pre zodpovedanie otázok je štúdium odborných textov a analýza konkrétnych príkladov umeleckých nástrojov Webu 2.0. V ďalšej časti práce je pozornosť zameraná na kolaboratívne umelecké diela tvorené pomocou nástrojov Webu 2.0. Práca postupne na príkladoch predstavuje kolaboratívne internetové umelecké projekty a popisuje podmienky pre tvorbu kolaboratívnych umeleckých diel, ktoré umožnili nástroje Webu 2.0. Cieľom práce je zmapovať na konkrétnych príkladoch aké možnosti umelcom ponúkli nástroje Webu 2.0, predstaviť špecifické umelecké nástroje Webu 2.0 a kategorizovať ich. Práca vytvára prehľadný systém týchto nástrojov určený pre ďalší výskum a diskusiu okolo tejto tématiky.
