Francophone countries in French language textbooks: Content analysis

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá učivem reálií v učebnicích francouzského jazyka jako druhého nebo dalšího cizího jazyka. Cílem práce je analyzovat zastoupení a posoudit kvalitu didaktického zpracování učiva reálií v rámci očekávaných výstupů pro Další cizí jazyk definovaných v Rámcovém vzdělávacím programu pro základní vzdělávání. Za dílčí cíle si práce klade porovnat učebnice z hlediska výskytu sociokulturních obsahů učiva reálií a porovnat jednotlivé zastoupení frankofonních a evropských frankofonních zemí v učivu reálií zkoumaných učebnic. Práce je rozdělena do tří částí. První část práce je věnována teoretickým východiskům řešené problematiky, v druhé části je představena metodologie výzkumu a ve třetí části jsou prezentovány a zhodnoceny výsledky výzkumu. V rámci výzkumu byla aplikována obsahová analýza jako hlavní výzkumná metoda a bylo provedeno jedno výzkumné šetření. Výzkumný soubor tvořily celkem tři učebnice francouzského jazyka vydané po roce 2004 třemi různými nakladatelstvími.

Abstract:

The presented thesis deals with the topic of life and institutions of francophone countries in textbooks of French language as a second or another foreign language. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the proportional representation and to evaluate the quality of didactic arrangement of the topics related to life and institutions of francophone countries under the terms of expected outcomes defined in the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education. Another aims are to compare textbooks with regard to the occurrence of sociocultural contents and the representation of francophone and European francophone countries present in the topics related to life and institutions. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is dedicated to theoretical concepts, the methodology is described in the second part and in the third part we present and evaluate the results. The content analysis was applied as a main research method. Research sample form three textbooks of French language published after 2004 by three different publishers.
