Abstract:

Diplomová práce s názvem Učitel - muž na 1. stupni ZŠ je zaměřena na genderovou nevyváženost a značnou míru feminizace učitelské profese na 1. stupni ZŠ. Práce je strukturována na část teoretickou a část praktickou. V teoretické části práce je nastíněna problematika genderu v kontextu vzdělávání, motivace k profesi učitele, historický pohled na současnou problematiku nedostatku mužů na 1. stupni ZŠ a rovněž komparace mužů a žen ve funkci výchovné. Závěr teoretické části práce je věnován zahraničním projektům a pracím, které se zabývají muži jako učiteli na 1. stupni ZŠ. Praktická část práce si klade za cíl v návaznosti na část teoretickou zjistit, jaké důvody motivují muže v profesi učitele na 1. stupni ZŠ a získaná data srovnat s ženami - učitelkami na 1. stupni ZŠ. Výzkumné šetření je provedeno pomocí kvalitativní metody rozhovorů, které jsou následně vyhodnoceny. Výsledky ukázaly, že muže ke studiu potažmo k nástupu do profese motivuje touha po určité změně nikoli rodinná tradice. Následně v profesi učitele muže motivuje zpětná vazba a pokroky dětí. Finanční odměna není motivací v profesi. Většinu oslovených mužů, ale dále motivuje i blízka budoucnost, kterou mají spojenou s odchodem do důchodu. Výzkum dále ukázal, že profese učitele je stále mezi oslovenými respondenty podmíněna množstvím stereotypních genderových tvrzení.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis entitled "A male teacher at an elementary school" focuses on the gender imbalance and the significant degree of feminization of the teaching profession at the 1st level of elementary school. The work is structured into a theoretical part and a practical part. In the theoretical part of the work, the issue of gender in the context of education, motivation for the teaching profession, a historical view of the current issue of the lack of men in the 1st level of elementary school, as well as a comparison of men and women in the educational function are outlined. The conclusion of the theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to foreign projects and works that often appear as teachers in the 1st level of elementary school. Following the theoretical part, the practical part of the work aims to find out what reasons motivate men in the teaching profession at the 1st level of elementary school and to compare the obtained data with female teachers at the 1st level of elementary school. The research is carried out using qualitative methods of interviews, which are subsequently evaluated. The results showed that men are motivated to study, and thus to enter the profession, by a desire for a certain change, not by family tradition. Subsequently, in the teaching profession, men are motivated by the feedback and progress of children. Financial reward is not a motivation in the profession. However, most of the men interviewed are also motivated by the near future they have associated with retirement. The research also showed that the teaching profession is still conditioned by a number of stereotypical gender statements among the respondents.
