Consumer behavior in the current hospitality

Abstract:

This master thesis aims to explain the behaviour of customers in the current hotel industry, to analyze customers´ behaviour at a specific hotel facility and to examine clients´ satisfaction level through research as well as suggest adequate solutions for improvement. The teoretical part of this thesis covers management, marketing, psychology and hotel industry knowledge. The introduction part examines service management, hotel management and all steps od managerial leadership as well as parts of the marketing mix. The theoretical part then focuses on customers´ behaviour and the factors which influence decision making focusing especially on psychological aspects. In the analytical part we first apply the knowledge about the marketing mix on a specific hotel facility. Then with the help of quantitavie and qualitative research we meassure the satisfaction of guests of our hotel facility. With these data evaluation, we make suggestions how to improve guests´ satisfaction with our services in this hotel facility.

Abstract:

Diplomová práca je zameraná na chovanie spotrebiteľov v súčasnom hotelierstve. Cieľom práce je analyzovať správanie spotrebiteľov v hotelovom zariadení. Na základe výskumu zistiť mieru spokojnosti ubytovaných hostí a v prípade nedostatkov, navrhnúť adekvátne riešenia, ktoré pomôžu hotelu lepšie uspokojiť potreby hostí. Teoretická časť zahŕňa poznatky z oblasti managementu, marketingu, psychológie a hotelierstva. V úvode je vymedzený management v oblasti služieb, hotelový management a jednotlivé fázy riadenia. Táto oblasť je zakončená definovaním jednotlivých prvkov marketingového mixu. Druhá polovica teoretickej časti je zameraná na spotrebiteľa, spotrebné chovanie a faktory ovplyvňujúce rozhodovanie spotrebiteľov s dôrazom na psychologické aspekty. V analytickej časti sú na úvod špecifikované prvky marketingového mixu pre konkrétne hotelové zariadenie. Následne pomocou kvalitatívneho a kvantitatívneho výskumu je zmeraná spokojnosť ubytovaných hostí hotelového zariadenia a po vyhodnotení analýzy sú navrhnuté odporučenia pre zvýšenie spokojnosti hotelových hostí.
