Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou euthanasie z pohledu Evropského soudu pro lidská práva. Za tímto účelem je v práci nejprve vymezen historický vývoj euthanasie. Poté jsou vymezeny jednotlivé pojmy, jako je aktivní a pasivní euthanasie nebo asistovaná sebevražda. The thesis deals with the issue of euthanasia from the perspective of the European Court of Human Rights. For this purpose, the thesis first defines the historical development of euthanasia. In the next chapters are defined terms such as active and passive euthanasia or assisted suicide.
